Some Remarks on Almost Periodic Transformations
1. Recurrent and almost periodic transformations. Notations. Let ƒ be a continuous mapping (not necessarily a homeomorphism) of a topological space X in itself (that is, f(X)QX). We say that ƒ is recurrent a t a point # £ X , or that x is recurrent under ƒ, if, given any neighbourhood U(x) of x, there exist infinitely many positive integers n for which f(x)ÇE.U(x). (This definition is equivalen...
متن کاملOn some classes of almost periodic functions in abstract spaces
We deal with C(n)-almost periodic functions taking values in a Banach space. We give several properties of such functions, in particular, we investigate their behavior in view of differentiation as well as integration. The superposition operator acting in the space of such functions is also under consideration. Some applications to ordinary as well as partial differential equations are presente...
متن کاملALMOST S^{*}-COMPACTNESS IN L-TOPOLOGICAL SPACES
In this paper, the notion of almost S^{*}-compactness in L-topologicalspaces is introduced following Shi’s definition of S^{*}-compactness. The propertiesof this notion are studied and the relationship between it and otherdefinitions of almost compactness are discussed. Several characterizations ofalmost S^{*}-compactness are also presented.
متن کاملErgodicity and Asymptotically Almost Periodic Solutions of Some Differential Equations
Using ergodicity of functions, we prove the existence and uniqueness of (asymptotically) almost periodic solution for some nonlinear differential equations. As a consequence, we generalize a Massera’s result. A counterexample is given to show that the ergodic condition cannot be dropped. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification. متن کاملOn Hartman Almost Periodic Functions
In this note we consider multi-dimensional Hartman almost periodic functions and sequences, defined with respect to different averaging sequences of subsets in R or Z. We consider the behavior of their Fourier-Bohr coefficients and their spectrum, depending on the particular averaging sequence, and we demonstrate this dependence by several examples. Extensions to compactly generated, locally co...
